Birthday Ramblings
I wanted to start this entry thanking everyone who wished me a happy birthday. As some of you may know I was dreading it, but after Sunday's blowup, I really just wanted to go into it with a light heart and low expectations. The day before (on Monday) my sisters and mom had a cake for me and a nice dinner which was a really nice gesture.
Yesterday, R woke me up early so he could give me my gifts, he knows how much I love perfumes, so he got me one of my favorites, through out the day I received calls from friends and family but I think the one that really made me feel good was one from my maid of honor, she basically told me to stop thinking about what I dont have and be happy that at 26 I have a good husband, a new home and a good job and since that was one of my first calls in the morning, it put me in a great set of mind.
Over all I had a great day, my boss took me out to lunch with co-workers, one of the guys from the office bought me an ice cream cake, and I was treated with a lot of love.
Birthdays were supposed to be spent partying a couple of years ago, so I always thought that was how it always how it had to be, I discovered yesterday that you dont really have to party all the time, my night was spent having a nice quiet dinner with R and spending some much needed quality time together and then falling asleep in his arms. Yesterday is what I define as a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
