Sun burn
Things have been going smoothly since the last time I wrote. Our weekend started on Friday and it went really well. We were able to spend some quality time with my husband’s family. On Friday we went to Old San Juan to do some sight seeing and to visit “El Morro” which is an old Fort, it has beautiful spacious lawns where we were able to sit and enjoy the view while flying kites. It really was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, but it wasn’t extremely hot. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
On Saturday, we woke up too early for my liking and got ready to head out to “Luquillo Beach”. It is the biggest beach in Puerto Rico, I believe. It was too hot out that day; I stayed mostly in the shade and played cards and volleyball all day. We went for a swim and were only in the water for about half an hour, but that was enough to completely fry me. I am so sun burned it hurts to look at me. My skin is very red and my face is numb from the sun burn. I am beginning to peel and I feel like a freak with my face looking this way. R is afraid to touch me because he knows that he will hurt me.
If anybody has any advice on what to do to make it hurt less or any advice on how to avoid all the peeling, I would really appreciate it.
